On January 31, 2024, a memorial evening dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, Yelubai Umirzakov, was held in the N.Dauletova Hall.

Eleubai Umurzakov is one of the creators of the Kazakh professional theatrical art.

The purpose of the evening is to tell about the stage fate of E. Umurzakov, the originality and originality of talent, about the ways he achieves high skill, creates full–blooded stage images, as well as familiarizing young people with his work.

The event was opened by the Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna.

The guests of the event were and performed : director, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Professor Zhamankulov Tungyshbai Kadyrovich; actor, theater director, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, laureate of the «Barys» and «Tarlan» awards Obaev Esmukhan Nesipbaevich; translator, academician, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Bopezhanova Aliya Kakharmanovna; Candidate of Art History, head of the theater department of the M.Auezov Institute of Literature and Art Mukan Amangeldy Orazbayuly; laureate of republican competitions Bekzat Sarsek; Master of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy, ethnomusicologist, dombrist, kuishi Kazmukhambetov Ermek; laureate of republican and international competitions Zhaksylykov Dimash; students and teachers of the Kazakh National Academy named after T. Zhurgenov, Eurasian Technical and Economic College, students of music colleges and schools, library readers.

The moderator of the evening was the Candidate of Art History, Professor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Kulbayev Aman Bekenovich.

The event featured a screening of the documentary «Onir maktanyshy» by the Kostanay TV channel, as well as musical works performed by E. Umurzakov
