On October 5, the «Kazakhstan creative zhas kitaphanashylaryn birinshi sessions» was held at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the republican contest «Uzdik zhas kitaphanashi – 2023»

The director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Library Union Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna opened the event with a welcoming speech and wished success to the young librarians participating in this session and the competition.

At the event, on the initiative of the youth of the National Library, a proposal to create a «Republikalyk zhas kitaphanashylar uyymy» was discussed.

As part of the «Kazakhstan creative zhas kitaphanashylaryn birinshi sessiyasy», the young librarians participating in the competition were given a tour of the history and activities of the National Library, the work of structural divisions and reading rooms, and an intellectual event «Quiz Battle» was held. At the event, questions were asked on literature, history, art and cinema, as well as on library areas, where participating teams chose the best among themselves.

In addition, the participating young librarians and young specialists of the National Library visited the Medeu Ice Rink, where they held recreational activities in nature.

The event was attended by participants of the republican contest «Uzdik zhas kitaphanashi – 2023» from different regions of the country and young librarians of the National Library.
