On November 21, the West Kazakhstan Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Zhuban Moldagaliev of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archival Affairs of the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan region hosted a scientific and practical conference «Libraries of Kazakhstan: an open world for all» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Lidia Ignatievna Gubanova, a World War II veteran, «The Best Cultural Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan», Director of the Regional Library in the period from 1963 to 1982.

On November 21, the West Kazakhstan Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Zhuban Moldagaliev of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archival Affairs of the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan region hosted a scientific and practical conference «Libraries of Kazakhstan: an Open World for All» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Lidia Ignatievna Gubanova, a World War II veteran, «The Best Cultural Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan», Director of the Regional Library in the period from 1963 to 1982.

The conference was attended by Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Library Union B.K. Ospanova, head of the Scientific and Methodological Service G.A. Makhanbetova, head of the Information Resources Service F.O. Sydykzhanova and head of the group K.Avelbekova.

At the plenary session of the conference, Deputy Akim of the West Kazakhstan region B.H. Narymbetov, veteran of the cultural sphere N.A. Gudoshnikova made a welcoming speech.

Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.K. Ospanova made a presentation on the topic: «Kazakhstan kitapkhanalary - ulttyn kelbeti, baga zhetpes baylygy» and presented colleagues with the badge of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Madeniyet salasyn uzdigi», as well as letters of thanks.

Printed materials of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan were donated to the Director of the Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Z. Moldagaliev Sh.K. Orazayeva.

In the Regional Children 's and Youth Library named after H. Yesenzhanova F.U. Sydykzhanova and K.Avelbekova conducted a master class for specialists of libraries in Bayterek, Taskalinsky, Terektinsky, Syrymsky, Chingirlau, Burlinsky districts on a new level of the Web-RABIS program.

Within the framework of the conference, the presentation of the book exhibition «Kitaphana - gasyrlar koshinde» took place at the Atameken Palace of Arts.
