From November 13 to 17, Director of the Stepnogorsk City Centralized Library System B.E. Aitpaeva and Head of the Library Development Department A.S. Kairkenova underwent practical training at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to improve their skills.

From November 13 to 17, Director of the Stepnogorsk City Centralized Library System B.E. Aitpaeva and Head of the Library Development Department A.S. Kairkenova underwent practical training at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to improve their skills.

The specialists were familiarized with the state of librarianship in Kazakhstan, the regulatory framework for library activities, the introduction and development of new information technologies, the «Web-RABIS» program, replenishment of the library fund, electronic catalog and databases, the main provisions of cataloging, creation of bibliographic records, library and reference information services, execution of written bibliographic references, the release of scientific and auxiliary bibliographic manuals.

A tour of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized, where the structural divisions of the library were widely represented. Also, in order to familiarize with the innovative work in library activities, an excursion to the «Alatau Creative Hub» center, located in the Alatau district, and the A.P. Chekhov Central Library in Almaty was organized.

Upon completion of the training, Deputy Director for Library Work of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.H.Yusupova presented Certificates of advanced training.
