On November 24, in the Hall named after N.Dauletova, a solemn ceremony of donating books from the Department of Mass Media and Advertising of the Government of Moscow to the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a meeting with famous Russian writers Moskvina Marina Lvovna and Amelin Maxim Albertovich took place within the framework of the XI International Book and Printing Exhibition "Along the Great Silk Road - 2023" in Almaty.

Deputy Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yusupova Azhar Khamitovna made a welcoming speech.

The moderator of the event was Svetlana Viktorovna Ananyeva, Head of the Department of International Relations and World Literature at the M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, member of the Board of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan.

Representative of the delegation of the Government of Moscow, project manager of the Russian Book Union Novokshonova Alena Anatolyevna presented a collection of modern Russian literature to the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

There was also a creative meeting with famous Russian writers.

Moskvina Marina Lvovna is a finalist of the Yasnaya Polyana International Literary Award, winner of the Andersen International Honorary Diploma. The author of books translated into many languages of the world, about 20 cartoons were shot based on her scripts and stories. At the meeting, the author talked about her work, about traveling, about her life and how she composes stories and writes books.

Maxim Albertovich Amelin is a Russian poet, translator, literary critic and publisher, editor–in-chief of the OGI publishing house. At the event, the author shared his impressions about a joint project with Kazakh writers - the Anthology "Modern Literature of the CIS countries", a two-volume book "Modern Russian Prose and Poetry" translated into Kazakh and other CIS languages.

A media exhibition of the Moscow Government's publishing program "Moscow Book" was donated. These are books related to Moscow, both by famous classics of Russian literature and modern authors. The presented topics of the books of the city publishing program are diverse: the history of the capital, historical and memorable places of the city, the city in literature, art and architecture, guidebooks, album books, encyclopedic publications, the lives of famous Muscovites, memories of Moscow.

The event was attended by: students and teachers of schools and colleges, libraries, students of philological faculties of universities in Almaty and Almaty region, representatives of the media, the Association of Russian Language and Literature, etc.
