Between September  11-15 the specialists from the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the West Kazakhstan regional scientific and universal library named after Zh. Moldagaliev and the Atyrau regional universal scientific library named after G. Slanov are trained at the cataloguer School of National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The listeners got acquainted with the international and national documents regulating the rules for compiling the bibliographic records, the basic provisions of cataloging, as well as the scientific and methodological activities of the National Library, issues of organizing the acquisition of library collections and their digitization, reference and information services, etc.

The training was conducted on 5 modules of the domestic information system Web-RABIS, and practical classes were conducted.

The introductory tour of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Centralized Library System of Almaty was organized for the listeners. Participants obtained a certificates at the end of the course.

The National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to improve their skills, invites all specialists involved in the machine-readable cataloging of documents to study at the School of the cataloguer and the School for the conservation and restoration of written documents.
