On April 5, 2019 in the hall named after N. N. Dauletova held a memorial evening dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Asylbek Seitov, a prominent public figure, doctor, a famous member of the "Alash" movement, and a presentation of a monographic book by Orazgul Mukhatova "Asylbek Seitov - Trace of History".
Asylbek Seitov was born on January 22, 1894 in Omsk in the family of the translator of the West Siberian Office of the Governor-General.
He worked in 1917-1920, worked as a doctor of the medical unit of Alekseevsk district of Akmola region, an assistant doctor of the sanitary department of Akmola region, as well as at Bayanaul station of Pavlodar region. Actively participated in the activities of the party "Alash". He was a delegate of the first congress of doctors of Kazakhstan, which was held in 1921 in Orenburg. In 1922 he was a delegate of the Congress of Soviets of KASSR. On his initiative and with his direct participation sanatoriums "Aul" and "Berezovka" were created.
Along with the medical practice A. Seitov was engaged in socio-political activities. In 1922 he was appointed head of provincial health administration in Semipalatinsk. Also in 1937 he headed the planning and financial department of the People's Commissariat of Health KazSSR.
The moderator of the evening was Garifulla Anes, Director of the "Arys" Foundation, Doctor of Philological Sciences, President of the Foundation for the Study of the Legacy of the Repressed Intellectuals.
Koishybaev, J. Mustafina, O. Mukhatova, D. Mukhamedkhanova, K. Seitova and others spoke at the event.
Within the framework of the event there was organized a book-illustrative exhibition about the life and creative work of A. Seitov from the fund of National library.
The event was attended by public figures, poets and writers, students, readers and media representatives.
