On November 1, 2019, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a jubilee event in the N. Dauletova Hall of the National Library, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous Kazakh writer, playwright, publicist, translator and film actor Satimzhan Sanbaev.

The event was opened by the scientific secretary of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bolat Junisbekov, who gave the floor to the moderator, the famous scholar of literature, the famous translator and doctor of philological sciences Aslan Zhaksylykov.  

The event included speeches by cultural scientist, diplomat, statesman and public figure Murat Auezov, publicist Gadilbek Shalakhmetov, doctor of agricultural sciences Erkin Bekmuhamedov, film director, screenwriter, writer Yermek Tursynov, poet, doctor of philological sciences Bauyrzhan Zhakyp and others.

In the framework of the event from the collection of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized a book exhibition "Omiri onerimen ornektelgen", dedicated to Satimzhan Sanbaev.

The event was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia, readers of the library and representatives of the media.
