On December 13, 2019 in the hall named after. N. Dauletova National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an evening in memory of the national writer of Kazakhstan, a prominent State and public figure, former Chairman of the Majilis of Parliament, State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abish Kekilbayev, as well as the presentation of a bibliographical index, prepared by the National Library of Kazakhstan for the 80th anniversary of the writer and encyclopedia, issued by the publisher "Arys".

The event was opened by the Scientific Secretary of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Bolat Junisbekov, who passed the floor to the moderator - the figure of publishing and printing of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2003), candidate of philological sciences, member of the Assembly of Kazakhstan people, publisher and scientist Garifolle Anes.

The presentation was attended by the honored coach of Kazakhstan Amin Tuyakov, doctor of philological sciences, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, scientist, professor Omirzak Aitbayev, historian, candidate of historical sciences Samat Oteniazev, doctor of philological sciences, critic, scientist Dandai Yskak, public figure, poet Temirkhan Medetbek and other representatives of intelligentsia, who shared their warm memories about the work and life of Abish Kekilbayev.

The event included a book exhibition from the collection of the National Library of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the life and work of Abish Kekilbaev.
