December 19, 2019 at 11.00 a.m. in the Hall of N. Dauletova held a presentation of the book - the original manuscript of Suleimen Bakirgani «Hikmat Haziret Sultan al-Garifin».

The book was published in 2019 in the framework of the series "Uly dala tulgalary" with the purpose of popularization and disclosure of the fund of rare books and manuscripts of the National Library of Kazakhstan and introduction of the historical manuscript into a wide scientific turnover. The book with transcription from medieval Turkic (Chagatai) language to Cyrillic and facsimile of the manuscript, the volume of 982 pages was published in the publishing house "Kazakh encyclopedia".

The 16th-century manuscript was included in the UNESCO Memory of the World International Register in 2003, along with the manuscripts of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. The manuscript presented by Suleimen Bakirgani "Hikmat Haziret Sultan al-Garifin" is the most complete version of the work "Bakirgan kitabi", which includes 393 hikmats.

This manuscript is a collection of poems of religious and philosophical content, one of the Sufi literary monuments of the 12th century, considered common to all Turkic peoples. This book was used as a teaching aid until the beginning of the 20th century.

Work on the translation of the manuscript began 23 years ago. In the distant 1990s, work on the study of the heritage of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and his student Suleiman Bakirgani was begun by Mukhamedrakhim Jarmukhamedov, a linguist and doctor of philological sciences, and Maksut Shafigi, an orientalist.

Director of the National Library Ospanova Bakytjamal Kairbekovna opened the presentation with an introductory speech and gave the floor to the moderator - the scientific secretary of the National Library Bolat Junisbekovich.

Kazakh scientists, professors and veterans of the NB RK: I. Karymsakov, Zh. Toibaeva, N. Mauytov, M. Shafigi, J. Kari, N. Askarbekova, S. Khodzhikova, O. Zhubaeva, D. Tynyshbaev and others spoke at the event.

The event was attended by: public figures, scientists, university teachers, students of boarding school №17 and librarians of Almaty and representatives of the media.
