On February 24, 2020, as part of the work of the Cataloguer's School, created on the basis of the National Library of RK, one-day training sessions were held for specialists of the Republican Library for the blind and visually impaired citizens.

Students were familiarized with international and national documents regulating the rules for making bibliographic records, as well as with the main provisions and general rules of cataloging, and the peculiarities of cataloging specific types of documents. The practical sessions covered the systematization of documents according to the International Universal Decimal Classification (UDC), the maintenance of the general catalog, and the arrangement of books according to the LBC and UDC.

The National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites all specialists engaged in machine-readable cataloging of resources for training at the Cataloger's School.
