On February 29, 2020, the National Library of Kazakhstan organized a traveling book exhibition at the House of Friendship, dedicated to the celebration of Thanksgiving Day in Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the holiday - education of the younger generation a sense of tolerance, respect and friendliness to each other, as well as strengthening of interethnic harmony and interethnic relations in Kazakhstan.

Thanksgiving Day is a bright day of Kazakh patriotism, unity and friendship, honoring every citizen for each other, a tribute and gratitude to the people of Kazakhstan for not caring and showing mercy in a difficult time.

At the book exhibition from the collection of the National Library of Kazakhstan more than 100 books and magazines, revealing the history and contemporary life of Kazakhstanis of different nationalities, culture, traditions, customs and art were presented. M.B.Zharknalova, the head of the Service "Kazakhstan kіptatary" introduced the book exhibition.

Deputy Akim of Almaty E. Babakumarov made a welcoming speech and congratulated the participants. The Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Almaty N. Balgimbayev, heads and representatives of ethno-cultural associations of Almaty and others also took part in the celebration.
