On December 9, 2020 Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.K. Ospanova, Deputy Director for Library Work A.H. Yusupova and Deputy Director for Information Technology and Innovation N.A. Iskalieva took part in the methodical round table "Russian libraries in IFLA: new formats of involvement", organized by the All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature named after M. I. Rudomino (RSL) and the Russian State Library (RSL). M.I.Rudomino All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature (VGBIL) and the Russian State Library (RSL).
The purpose of the round table was to familiarize the professional community with the content and progress of the IFLA Strategy 2019 - 2024, relevant information on the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2021. The round table was moderated by S.A. Gorokhova, Advisor to the Director General of the M.I. Rudomino All-Russian State Library, a member of the Russian Library Association (RLA).
Welcoming speeches were made by the Acting Director General of the M.I. Rudomino All-Russian State Historical Library Kuzmin P. L., Director of the State Public Historical Library and President of the Russian Public Library Association Afanasyev M. D. and Director General of the Russian Public Library Duda V. V. During the work the reforms in IFLA, strategic plans, new formats of professional coordination and interpersonal communication were discussed as well as an exchange of views.
