On January 26, the writer, cultorologist, member of the Pen-club of Kazakhstan, laureate of the “Russian award’ in the category ‘Small prose” in 2010 and 2014 participant of the international writer’s residency IWP 2017 in the USA Yuri Serebryansky donated his new books to the National Library of Kazakhstan “The book about delicious and healthy Kazakh literature – Damdi de paidaly kazakstandyk zhayly kitap” and “Nine stories. A collection of stories by modern American authors”.

In Kazakhstan, 2021 is declared the year of Independence. Every year, as part of the national compaign “One Country, One book” all libraries in the country organize numerous events and book exhibition dedicated to select authors and their works, as well as the attention of readers are offered to the works of prominent writers of Kazakhstan. This year the action “One country-one book” is dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of Independence of the country. Within the framework of the action 30 best works of the famous Kazakh authors in the field of poetry, prose drama, children’s literature and translation were chosen for public reading under the name “30 books to the 30^th anniversary of Independence”. “The book about tasty and healthy Kazakh literature – Damdi de paidaly kazakhstandyk adebiet zayly kitap” by writer Y.Serebryansky was also included in the top 30 selected works. This book is dedicated to the development of Kazakh literature during the period of independence. The book was published in Russian and Kazakh for a wide range of readers.
