October 21 in the framework of the International Conference "Independent Kazakhstan: the place of libraries in the social and cultural space", taking place in Uralsk, the XXI regional competition "Zhubanov Readings" in the West Kazakhstan regional universal scientific library named after Zh. Moldagaliev.

Also, in the West Kazakhstan Regional Philharmonic named after G. Kurmangalaev, a presentation of the collection "The Regional Library during the years of Independence" was held.

Within the framework of this event the director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the chairman of the Kazakhstan Library Union Ospanova Bakytzhamal awarded the badges: "Kazakhstan's Kurmetti Kitaphanashysy" to Nursapina A.T.; "Kitapkhana isinin uzdigi" to Zhumakayev I.T. and Shakelova D.S.; "Kitapkhana isinin ardageri" to Sarkulov A.M. and Bratashova O.N. for many years of work and special contribution to the development of the library industry.

The grateful letters were presented to the close friend of the library, poet, member of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan Aitkali Narikov, poetess, writer, journalist, member of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan, the winner of the international festival "Shabyt" Shuyinshalieva Mira Khamzaevne and the head of the KGU "Kogamdyk kelisim" of the akim machinery of the Western Kazakhstan region Medhat Musaevich Kambetov.
