On December 13, famous journalist-writer Kayim-Munar Tabeev donated his book "Karagaidyn karsy butagy" to the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

By decree of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev, the protagonist of this work, the hero of the December events, Kairat Ryskulbekov, was awarded the title "Kazakhstannyn Halyk kaharmany". The book tells about the plight of young boys and girls who spoke out in 1986 against the arbitrary rule of the Soviet totalitarian system, which held the country in an iron grip.
