On December 13, the Great Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the Republican poetry contest "TAUELSELZDlKKE TAGZYM" among Kazakh poets dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, supported by the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan and the Public Fund of Writers "Maecenas of Kazakh Literature".

The purpose of the contest is to popularize the independence of the country, to pay tribute to historical events, to inaugurate the values and formation of a new identity of the nation, to increase the potential and propaganda of modern Kazakh literature.

According to the decision of the jury, the Grand Prix of M. Makatayev was awarded to Abubakir Kairan. M. Makataev was awarded to Abubakir Kairan; the first place to them. T. Aibergenov was awarded to Bauyrzhan Babazhan; the second place to them. K. Myrzali - Ayan Nysalin and the second place by T. Moldagaliev - Zaida Elgoni; for the third place three poets were awarded: the prize by G. Kairbekov - Kuat Daurenuly; prize by J. Najmedenov - Zhumabay Kuliev; prize by F. Ongarsynov - Batyrlan Sagintayev.

There were also awarded incentive prizes: named after K. Shangytbaev - Nusipbai Abdrakhim; named after T. Berdiyarov - Aijaryk Abylkasym; named after S. Jienbaev - Meirambek Abdykaliev; named after K. Bugybaev - Shattyk Kystaubay; named after U. Nurgaliev - Dosbol Islam; R. Niyazbek - Roza Seilkhan; J. Bodeshuly - Turdakyn Aidarkhanuly; Zh. Zhakypbayev - Erzhan Alashtugan; Zh. Abdirashev - Kurmangazy Zhumagul; K. Myrzabekov - Alibek Shegebai.
