On December 14 in the Great hall of the National library of Kazakhstan was held a musical-poetic evening dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Otanym - nurly mekenim".

The purpose of the event - the formation of the foundations of citizenship and patriotism, consolidation of the acquired knowledge of the symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, respect for folk traditions, pride in their homeland, their people, love of their native land.

The musical and poetic evening was opened by the artist of the Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay, Maksat Samatov, who performed the anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. And also the artists of the Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay performed at the evening, Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy, Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl, students of the music school named after Kulyash Bayseitova, poet, member of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head of the center "Adebiet Alemi", director of the public fund "Tulga-dostyk" Muratkhan Shokan, member of the Writers' Union Sayat Kamshyger and other famous young poets of Kazakhstan, students of grammar schools in Almaty, young specialists of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The evening was hosted by famous Kazakh radio hosts Gulmira Nalibay and Yerasyl Mambetov.

Major General Nurmanov Aben Aldabergenovich, President of the representative office of the Association "International Committee on Human Rights Protection" under the UN in the Republic of Kazakhstan, soldiers of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty Department of Border Control of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, college students and schoolchildren of Almaty, readers and mass media representatives participated in the event.
