80 years ago, on December 21, 1941, the 100th Separate Rifle Brigade was formed. The author told about the history of the brigade, its features and participation in offensive operations "Mars" in the Great Patriotic War near Velikiye Luki and Nevel in the village of Molodoy Tud in Tver region of the Russian Federation, during the period when the active army was part of the Kalinin, Baltic and 2nd Baltic fronts.

The audience was familiarized with historical sources, on the basis of which the book was written, including the collection of name lists of irretrievable losses and heroes awarded with orders and medals for feats performed. N. Takizhbaeva emphasized that the impetus for the study of the history of the Rifle Brigade was the book by K. Abenov "Operation Mars". Particular attention was paid to the Kharkiv city national public association of Kazakhs "Birlik", whose website published a list of names of soldiers of the 100th Rifle Brigade. A.G. Yavorsky closely cooperates with "Birlik", which has done a lot and does a lot to preserve the memory of the Kazakhs who died during the Great Patriotic War.

The author showed on slides how the memory of Kazakhstani soldiers is honored in the places of military battles: she told about the Memorial to the soldiers of the 100th 101st Infantry Brigade, School No. 5 named after the soldiers of the 100th and 101st Independent Infantry Brigades in Rzhev city and also about the school and the municipal Museum of the 100th and 101st Kazakhstani Brigades in the village of Molodoy Tud, Tver region of Russia.

In conclusion, the author supported the idea of K. Abenov, which he expressed more than 20 years ago: to create a monument to the soldiers of the 100 and 101st sep detachments in the places of their formation in 1941 at home in Aktyubinsk and in Almaty.
