On December 22 the presentation of the monograph "Al-Farabi and Kazakh musical instruments" by the famous scholar Sagatbek Medeubekuly was held in offline and online modes in the N. Dauletova Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The moderator was Farabiologist, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Zhakypbek Altayev. The event was opened by the employee of the Service of Exhibitions and Cultural Programs of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karabayev Kurmet Kabdilhalykovich.

Scientist and art historian Sagatbek Medeubekuly presented his monograph "Al-Farabi and Kazakh musical instruments". The ensembles "Saz art", " Kausar", "Kertolgau" on the musical instruments saz syrnay, zhetygen, kyl-kobyz performed their musical compositions.

Bakhyt Jagyparuly, Asiya Makhambetova, Aigul Smakova, Saule Doszhan and others spoke at the event.

The following people took part in the online greeting and congratulation session: Sauytbek Abdrakhmanov, Majilis deputy; Nurtore Zhusup, Senate deputy of the Parliament of Kazakhstan; musicologists from Russia, Hungary, Tatarstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Yakutia, Azerbaijan and others.

Also, as part of the event showed their creativity ethno-folklore ensemble "Turan".

The National Library of Kazakhstan organized an exhibition of books and periodicals "Sagatbek Medeubekuly", dedicated to the life and work of the famous scientist.

Participants in the event were: scientists-farabiologists, musicologists, art researchers, public figures, writers and journalists, as well as representatives of the media.
