On the 28th of February the head of the group of the Service "Kazakhstan kitaptary" of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.A. Bakhina took part in the International scientific-practical online conference on the theme "Ulttyk zhane otbasylyk dastustusturlerdi saktau men damytudagy balalar kitaphanasyn aleumettik-madeni miassi", organized by Karaganda regional children's library named after Abay and West Kazakhstan regional children's and youth's library named after H. Esenzhanov.

The purpose of the online conference is to collect and broadcast the experience of preserving the traditions of family reading, popularization of reading by children and adolescents in the digital society.

The online conference was opened by the head of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of Karaganda region Zhumakenov Yerkebulan Kayrollayevich and the head of the Republican Children's and Youth Library named after K. Bayalinov Sultangazieva Roza Kalievna (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). The head of the group of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.A. Bakhina made a report on the topic "Otbasylyk oku - tarbiye kozi" at the online conference.

The conference was attended by the deputy director for scientific and methodical work of the National Library of Ukraine for Children - Lyudmila Polikarpova (Kiev, Ukraine), the editor of the national children's newspaper "Druzhniye Rebyata" - Olga Gumirova (Almaty, Kazakhstan), the founder of the electronic magazine "Balalarga oku" and chief editor and organizer of online conferences for children and teenagers - Olga Alexeevna (Moscow, Russia) and other participants.

Topics for discussion: the role of libraries in the formation of family learning, the preservation and development of national and family traditions; current issues of children's and adolescent reading; innovative library projects to create and disseminate information resources for the formation of learning children and adolescents; social partnership of libraries serving children and adolescents, etc.

The online conference was closed by Bayan Kuanyshevna Uataeva, head of the Karaganda Regional Children's Library named after Abay.
