On the 28th of February in the hall named after N. Dauletova a round table of veterans and activists of "Nevada-Semey" was held, dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the International Anti-Nuclear Movement.

The event was opened by Olzhas Omarovich Suleimenov, a famous poet, people's writer of Kazakhstan, linguist, Turkologist, prominent state and public figure, diplomat, leader of the "Nevada-Semipalatinsk" movement.

Valery Aitmukashevich Zhandauletov, a well-known journalist and vice president of the International Anti-Nuclear Movement "Nevada-Semipalatinsk," moderated the round table.

The event was addressed by: Z. Bagnenko, G. Nurpeysova, B. Bayandin, A. Asylbekov, E. Kuttybekov and others.

During the event, a representative of the "Euro-Asian Geographic Society", Professor Bayandin Beibit Kabdenovich in honor of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan awarded Olzhas Omarovich Order of Honor "Guardian of Culture" named after Al-Farabi, for his contribution to the development and preservation of culture, science and education of Kazakhstan.

Also, Olzhas Omarovich presented Sultan Ozdoyev, a doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences, veteran of the anti-nuclear movement "Nevada-Semey", with the Order "Kurmet" of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Dina Zhusupaliyeva and Maksat Nurmagambetov with medals for the 30th anniversary of "Nevada-Semey".
