On the 2nd of March in the lobby of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized by the book exhibition "March 1 - World Civil Defense Day" and the Open Doors Day, dedicated to the World Day of Civil Defense.

The event was organized jointly with the Department of Emergency Situations of Almaty and the National Library of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the event is to prepare students of secondary schools, vocational schools and colleges for civil defense, the fight against natural disasters, the development of the ability to find solutions in difficult situations, fostering a sense of mutual assistance.

Lieutenant Colonel Bekbolat Mukhidinovich Bugabaev and Chief Specialist of Department of Emergency Situations of Bostandyk District Bazar Nauryzbaeva gave a lecture on safety in emergencies at the event.    

The book exhibition was introduced by Mr. Kurmet Karabayev, an employee of the Exhibition and Cultural Programs Service of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Participants: students of higher educational institutions KazSU, KazNTU, "Turan", MAB, Almaty College of Construction and Management, Almaty College of Service and Technology, as well as students of secondary schools № 70,93,139 and others.
