On the 9th of March in the Literary Academy of the National Library of Kazakhstan as part of the national project "The Reading Nation" with the participation of students of the 1st year of Almaty State Humanitarian and Pedagogical College № 2 literary event "The novel "Abay's Way" is 80 years" was held.

The purpose of the event is to present and discuss the role and meaning of the characters in the novel-epic "Abay's Way", dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the great Kazakh writer M. Auezov.

During the event there was an interesting discussion about the main characters of the work. In the novel "Abay's Way" M. Auezov, telling about the greatness of the Kazakh people, its history, showed the world an encyclopedia of life of the Kazakh people of the second half of the XIX century.

College students Akzholova Anel, Imanali Botagoz, Khalidollina Nurai, Kulniyazova Perizat, Sarsenbek Akniet, and Anesova Aruzhan shared their views on the novel's characters.

At the event, the head of the group of periodicals Utebaeva M., who emphasized the important role of self-education and reading books, the value of literature, spoke. The most active participants of the event were presented with books.
