On March 18 in the hall named after N. Dauletova there was a presentation of the book "Kazaktyn uni "Zhas Alash", published in honor of the 100th anniversary of the republican socio-political newspaper "Zhas Alash»

The republican youth newspaper Zhas Alash started its history on the 22nd of March 1921 in Tashkent. The newspaper was founded by Gani Muratbayev, one of the leaders of the Komsomol organization of Turkestan ASSR, and Ilyas Dzhansugurov was the executive editor. The newspaper was published in different years under different names: "Zhas kairat", "Orten", "Leninshil zhas". In 1922, the newspaper began to be published in Orenburg under the name "Orten", in 1927 it was published under the name "Leninshil jas" (Lenin's youth), which since 1929 continued to be published in Alma-Ata.  In 1941 the publication of the newspaper was suspended, in connection with the mass departure of employees to the front, the issue was resumed in September 1945. In 1991, after Kazakhstan gained independence, the newspaper was renamed Zhas Alash again.

At the meeting, which took place in the framework of the celebration of the anniversary of the youth edition, the participants told about the history of the edition, about the journalists who worked in different years and its role in the formation of the Kazakh society. Aray Sakharieva is a journalist and editor-compiler of the book "Qazaqtyn uni Zhas Alash" published by the publishing house "Toganay-T". The collection, which consists of six sections: "Jas Alash: Keshe", "Esimderi el esinde", "Kozden ketse de, konilden ketpeidi", "Jas Alash - kazak basospasizinin kara shanyragy", "Aimak azharyn ayshyktagan", "Jas Alash: The book includes materials about the history of the publication, articles published in different years and recollections of journalists who worked in the publication.

The moderator was a poet, journalist, candidate of philological sciences, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Adilgazy Kairbekov.

Kadirbek Segizbayly, Magira Kozhakhmetova, and Kuanysh Jienbai took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

At action spoke: the editor-in-chief of the republican newspaper "Zhas Alash" Kairat Matrekov; the journalist, the editor-composer of the book "Kazaktyn uni Zhas Alash" Aray Sakharieva; the chairman of Committee of information of the Ministry of information and social development of RK Iskakov Kanat Zhumabaevich; writers: Magira Kozhakhmetova, Kuanysh Zhienbai, the chief editor of the newspaper "Zhas Alash" (2002-2006) Zhusipbek Korgassbek; journalists Zhunisbaev N, Tabiev K., Olzhai K., Sarsenbai K.; writers Zhurtbai Tursyn, Isabekov Dulat; director of LLP "Zhaiyk Press" Saparov Tabylgali; political scientist Dos Koshim and others.

At the end of the event, the new book was presented to the National Library of Kazakhstan and the guests of honor.

Participants: representatives of the creative intelligentsia, media journalists, and others.

As part of the event, there was an exhibition of periodicals from the collection of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Presented are anniversary issues of the newspaper, articles by famous writers and journalists on the pages of periodicals about the formation and development of journalism in Kazakhstan, and articles about the National Library of Kazakhstan on the pages of the newspaper "Zhas Alash".
