On the 19th of April the Specialist of the Scientific and Methodological Service of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of technical sciences Krivkov A. L. took part in the Round table: "Scientific journals in library science, bibliography and book science: history, realities, prospects (to the 70th anniversary of the journal "Library science")".

The round table was held within the framework of the annual International Conference "Rumyantsev Readings - 2022" held on 19-21 April, 2022 in the Russian State Library (Moscow). The topic of the presentation, given by A.L. Krivkov: "Periodicals on Librarianship in the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 1993-2022".

During his speech the author highlighted the main stages and noted the long-term nature of the publishing activities of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. An important segment of the publishing activity was the creation in the 1990s and early 2000s of journals devoted to the issues of librarianship. There were discussed the structure and the main directions of publications in the journals "Kitaphana", "Ulttyk kitaphana", "Kitap zhane Kitaphana".
