On the 28th of April in the Great Hall of the National Library of Kazakhstan was held an evening of memory dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Halyk kharmana Roza Baglanova.

She is a Soviet, Kazakh opera and pop singer. She is people's artist of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the USSR, owner of the title "Khalyk Kaharmany".

In 1939-1941 she studied at the Kyzylorda Pedagogical Institute. Her creative way began in the years of the Great Patriotic War. In 1941, she became a soloist of the Song and Dance Ensemble of Tashkent Philharmonic. As a member of this ensemble she gave concerts on the fronts of World War II. On May 9, 1945, she participated in the celebratory concert in Berlin.

In 1947-1949, she worked at the Kazakh Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. In 1949 she played the main role in the Soviet-Hungarian documentary film "Alem zhastary" ("Youth of the World").

In 1949-1960, she worked in the Kazakh Philharmonic. Since 1960, she was a soloist of Kazakhconcert. She made an invaluable contribution to the development of national art.

In 2007 her autobiographical book "Aynalayn halkymnan erkeletken" was published in " Atamura" publishing house. A documentary film "Our Rose" was shot about the great creative way of the actress at "Kazakhfilm" studio named after Sh. Aimanov, and in 2011 a documentary film about the actress "Oh, Samara-town" was released (MG Production, director A. Kystaubaev).

She was twice awarded the USSR orders: Lenin, Labor Red Banner, Friendship of Peoples, "Badge of Honor", "Fatherland", medals "For Services in Battle", "For Victory over Germany", "60 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945", "For Labor Valor"; Republic of Kazakhstan: "Shapagat", "Astana", etc. She is the winner of the independent award "Tarlan".

In 2021, the main concert organization of the country "Kazakhconcert" was named after Rosa Baglanova and a monument was erected.
