On the 25-27th of May the specialists of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the XV International conference "Central Asia - 2022" held in the city of Andijan (Uzbekistan) in the online format.

In the section "Domestic software WEB-RABIS: implementation and use in the libraries of Kazakhstan" deputy director for information technology and innovation N.A. Iskalieva made the report "Development of reading culture in the age of information technology", which addressed issues of implementation and use of WEB-RABIS, developed by IT-specialists of the National Library of the RK.

At the section "Bibliographic activity and creation of bibliographic records on the basis of modern information technologies" the head of the Information Resources Service F.U. Sydykzhanova made the report "School of Cataloguer of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan: professional development of library specialists", in which she told about the School of Cataloguer, successfully working in the National Library of the RK.

The conference was aimed at strengthening cultural, scientific and educational ties between the National Libraries of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
