On November 24   Director of National library of the RK, chairperson of the Kazakhstani Library Union Ospanova B.K. participated in the online meeting: “The professional development of the cadres as the condition of modernization of the libraries”, organized by the Pavlodarskaya regional universal scientific library after S.Toraigyrov and dedicated to its 125-th birthday.

There in the activity participated the specialists of National library of the RK (Almaty city), of the Eastern-Kazakhstani Regional Universal Scientific Library after A.S. Pushkin (Ust-Kamenogorsk city), the Eastern Kazakhstani Regional Universal Library after Abai (Semei city), the Pavlodarskaya Regional Universal Scientific Library after S. Toraigyrov and the library specialists from the other libraries of Kazakhstan.

Ospanova B.K. made the report by the theme “National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the educational site for the qualification-upgrading of the library specialists of the country” and underlined that the National library is the methodological, study and coordination centre for the generally accessible libraries of the country: organizes the system of qualification upgrading of specialists, carries out the study courses, seminars and the exit master-classes in the regions.

There at National library operate several structures, created for the provision of the possibilities of further education and qualification upgrading of the library workers. This is the Virtual library school, the Cataloguers’ school and the School of conservation and restoration of written documents.

National library is the study-practical centre by the type of dual education, in which there is organically combined the theoretical teaching at the study establishment and the practical teaching at the production enterprise.

There also spoke: Shakhmetova Sholpan Bayanovna, director of the Regional Universal Scientific Library after S.Toraigyrov with the report “The reader and the library – 125 years together”; Shagiyeva Bibigul Zhambylovna, director of the Eastern-Kazakhstani Regioonal Universal Library after A.S. Pushkin with the report “The strategy of non-stop education of the librarians: the work experience”; Zhilkibekova Ainagul Aitzhanovna, head of department of development of libraries of the Regional Universal Scientific Library after S. Toraigyrov by the theme “The qualified cadres is the guarantee of successful development of the libraries of the Pavlodar region”.

There took place the exchange of opinions about the topical issues of professional development of the library cadres.
