On September 13, 2019 in the hall named after E. Tursunov of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the People's Artist of the USSR Asanali Ashimov and the youth theater "Zhana gasyr".

Bolat Junusbekov, Scientific Secretary of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, moderated the meeting.                          

Asanali Ashimov, who won the nomination "Best Male Image" at the Open Russian Film Festival "Kinoshock" in Anapa, was congratulated by Sabit Abdykhalykov, director of the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater named after M. Auezov. 

The main character of today's meeting talked about theater, his creative path, the history of the Kazakh stage, and his students today.

Poet Maraltay Ibrayev read his poem "Bagdat" dedicated to Asanali Ashimov's wife, and actress of the K. Kuanyshbayev State Academic Kazakh Musical Drama Theater Ainur Bermukhambetova congratulated the People's Artist and sang "Kozimnin Karasy" together with her students.

In addition, at the meeting the actors of the theater showed an excerpt from the play "Farewell bell".

The event was attended by representatives of the intelligentsia, employees of the National Library, readers and actors of the "Zhana gasyr" theater and representatives of the media.
