On December 27, a presentation of 9 historical series organized by the Ministry of Information and Social Development in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan was held at the National Library of Kazakhstan.

Six of them are produced by the Kazakhstan Television and Radio Corporation.  "Qazaqstan" TV channel will present TV series devoted to such famous historical figures as Akhmet Baitursynov, Zhumabek Tashenev, Kanysh Satpayev, Mukagali Makataev, Zhangir khan and Domalak ana. TV-serial "BULBUL" - the biographic picture which opens the main stages of Roza Baglanova's life, viewers can see on the air of TV channel "Habar".  "Almaty TV" filmed the series "Kyzyl zhebe", which tells about the life of the great Kazakh political figure Turar Ryskulov. On "Channel 31" viewers will be able to see the serial "Zhurek zhyry", in the center of which the plot is an intertwining of two stories - the main character Zhambyl Zhabayev and a young novice poet-rapper Zhambo.

The event was attended by State Secretary K. Kusherbayev, Deputy Prime Minister E. Tugzhanov, Minister of Information and Public Development A. Balayeva, media managers, intellectuals and journalists.

As part of the event, a round table was organized, the participants of which discussed the present and future of domestic serials. The Minister of Information and Public Development of Kazakhstan, Aida Balaeva, drew the attention of participants to pressing issues and suggested ways to address them.
