In the reading hall of the Arts Department there is a book exhibition "Kazaktyn birtuar anshisi Nurgali Nusipzhanov 85 zhasta", devoted to the 85th anniversary of the People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, singer, teacher Nurgali Nusipzhanov.

Nurgali Nusipzhanov was born on January 5, 1937 in Dolanal village in Taldykorgan region. He graduated from the vocal department of the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy. He was the soloist of the State academic orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments named after Kurmangazy, the concert and touring association "Kazakhconcert", Kazakh radio and television. For many years he has been a soloist of the Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl, successfully performing with the orchestra "Otyrar sazy". N. Nusipzhanov made an invaluable contribution to the formation and development of this group, enriching its repertoire with many folk songs. He stood at the origins of the creation of this group next to the outstanding master and founder of the orchestra, People's Artist of the USSR N. Tlendiev.

Nusipzhanov is the first performer of most of the vocal works of N. Tlendiev and has been selflessly serving the Kazakh art for more than half a century. His performances with such bright stars as Zhamal Omarova, Roza Baglanova, Bibigul Tulegenova, Muslim and Rashid Abdullins, Zeynep Koishibayeva, Bakhyt Ashimova, Eskendir Khasangaliyev, Gulvira Raziyeva, Lucky Kesoglu, Roza Rymbayeva, Makpal Junusova are unforgettable.

Nusipzhanov traveled practically all over Kazakhstan with solo concerts, visiting the most remote villages, helping to organize small folk and variety ensembles in districts and regions of our republic. He represented the performing arts of Kazakhstan abroad in Sweden, Finland, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Angola, Cyprus, Portugal, Syria, Greece, Yugoslavia, Algeria, Germany, Turkey, Poland, China and other countries with great success.

Nurgali Nusipzhanov is People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Laureate of the State Prize, lecturer of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after Zhurgenov, holder of the orders "Kurmet" and "Parasat".

The purpose of the exhibition is to popularize the musical creativity of the outstanding artist and to familiarize with the multifaceted talent of the singer.
