- On December 2there was donated to the National library of the RK the book of Alexei Tivanenko, translated from Russian under the title “The searches of the lost kingdom: the perdition of the Merkites’ tribe” into the Kazakh language as “Zhogalgan patshalykty izdeu: Merkit taipasynyn kurdymga ketuy” by the translator ERshan Abzalkanuly who donated the new editions to the library.
The scientific-popular book narrates about the existence in the XI-XIII-th centuries upon the territory of the lake Baikal of the tribe union of the Merkites who before the defeat by the Mongol army of Chingiz-khan steadfastly fought for independence in the Middle Asia. No doubt, this book will useful for historians, archeologists and other scientific workers.
