On April 20, as part of the celebration of the 185th anniversary of the establishment of the Akhmet-Zaki Walidi National Library of the Republic of Bashkortostan, an international scientific and practical conference "Library in the cultural space of the region: traditions and innovations" was held in Ufa, which was attended by the director and staff of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On April 15, 2021 the head of the Service “Kazakstan kitaptary” of National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zharknalova M.B. participated in the work of the All-Russian scientific-practical conference “The harmonization of the inter-ethnical relations and the development of the national cultures: the positive practices of the libraries” in the online format which took place in Ekaterinburg city (Russia).

From April 5 to 9 employees of the Restoration, Conservation and Binding Service will take part in the annual International Scientific and Practical seminar "Document Restoration: Conservatism and Innovation", held by the Russian State Library (RSL) and the Library Assembly of Eurasia (BAE) with the support of the Interstate Fоund for Humanitarian Cooperation (IFGS) of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

On March 25 the head of the Conservation, Restoration and Binding Service of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the coordinator of the IFLA/PAC Regional Center for Central Asia, Ph. D. Sarsenbayeva B. Sh. and the Service's specialists participated in an online meeting of the directors of regional PAC Centers together with members of the Standing Committee and partners of the IFLA Headquarters, which considered ways to improve communication and increase the significance of documentary cultural heritage, as well as expand work in this direction.
