«GUMARDYN GULAMA GUMYRY» Book Exhibition Dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Gumar Karashuly (1875–1921)

The Reading Hall of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Service has organized a book exhibition «Gumardyn gulama gumyry», dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding figure of the Alash movement, spiritual poet, philosopher, and folklorist Gumar Karashuly.

The purpose of the exhibition is to introduce the general public to the rich creative heritage and spiritual contribution of Gumar Karashuly, promote national values, and present rare and little-known facts related to the thinker’s life and work.

The exhibition features about 10 original works in Arabic script, including 4 books and 5 journal articles.

 Among the presented publications, special attention is given to Gumar Karashuly’s books, which reflect his religious and philosophical views: «Oyga kelgen pikirlerim» (Orenburg, 1910), «Оrnek» (Ufa, 1911), «Bala tulpar» (Ufa, 1911). Additionally, visitors can explore the thinker’s articles published in the «Shora» journal.
