Today, in the hall named after R. Berdygaliyeva, a presentation of the book «Dauren Аbirov – the First Ballet Master of Kazakhstan» took place. The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, cultural figure of the Kazakh SSR, Candidate of Art History, Professor, the first professional ballet dancer and ballet master of Kazakhstan – Dauren Аbirov.

The event, organized with the aim of acquainting the youth with the life and creative work of Dauren Аbirov, including his pedagogical contributions, featured the reissued books by Аbirov: «The History of Kazakh Dance» and «Balabaqshalarğa arnalgan bi.»

At the exhibition held as part of the event, the book «Dauren Аbirov – the First Ballet Master of Kazakhstan» was presented. It includes previously unpublished memoirs of Аbirov about his childhood and youth, his creative journey, illustrated with valuable photo documents from state and family archives, and copies of official documents. In addition, the book features articles about the author as well as personal essays written by him.

The event was attended by renowned ballet veterans, choreographers, artistic directors of the state dance ensembles «Saltanat» and «Altynai,» art historians, teachers, doctoral students and students, as well as library readers.
