On December 13, 2024, the Deputy Director for Information Technology and Innovation and specialists from the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in a ceremony dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Karin, Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva, Secretary General of the International Organization TURKSOY Sultan Raev, President of the Eurasian Union of Writers Ufuk Tuzman.

State Councilor Yerlan Karin read out a congratulatory letter sent by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan.

Adviser to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Arslan Koichiev read out congratulations from President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.

The solemn event was attended by writers from all regions of the country, as well as guests from near and far abroad: Musa Kazim Aryzhan, Chairman of the Writers' Union of Turkey; Akbar Mazhit, Board member of the Writers' Union of the People's Republic of China; Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan; Majid Gayrat, Deputy Chairman of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan; Pavel Fridges, Swedish writer, literary critic; Rkail Zaidullin, Chairman of the Writers' Union of Tatarstan; Kanybek Imanaliev, Chairman of the National Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan; Aigiz Baymukhametov, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Bashkortostan; Usmankul Azimov, National Writer of Uzbekistan; Gavril Androsov, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Yakutia, Editor-in-chief of Cholbon magazine; Vasily Zakharov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of the Chuvash Republic; Andrey Reizvih, Russian writer.

The National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan has prepared an exhibition of books published in 2024 by State order and within the framework of the strategic partnership for the projects «TMD elderin archivterindegi kazakstandyk zhazushylardyn zertteu zhumystary», «Zhana Kazakstannin adebi-tanymdyk panoramysy».
