On November 28, a solemn meeting of the International Literary Forum «Soz oner» was held in the Great Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was moderated by a well - known poet, Deputy Chairman of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan Galym Kalibekuly.⠀

At the event, the writer, Chairman of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan Mereke Kulkenov read and presented a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Culture and information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, head of the Department of culture of Almaty, Maylybayev Gani Aidarovich, dwelled on the results of joint projects of the Almaty akimat with the Union of writers of Kazakhstan and wished good luck in the work of the literary forum.

Among the speakers were such foreign guests as the country's writer of the Kyrgyz Republic, adviser to the president of the Kyrgyz Republic Arslan Kapayevich Koishiev; member of the Writers ' Union of Uzbekistan, doctor of philology, professor Anuar Korabayevich Buranov

The first report was read by Professor of the Eurasian National University named after L. Gumilyo, Kairat Sak on the topic « «Kazakh newspaper», named after Abai in written literature».

In addition, several literary critics, such as Doctor of philology, professor Omirkhan Abdimanovich, Alash scientist, writer Eldos Toktarbay, shared their views on the newspaper «Kazakh».

Within the framework of the event, the newspaper «Kazakh», stored in the Fund of rare books and manuscripts of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan 1913, 1914, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1918 an exhibition was organized from the originals of published publications of the year.

The exhibition was presented by a young specialist of the scientific and methodological service Kanat Altynbek.

The event was attended by laureates of the state prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, people's writers of Kazakhstan, intellectuals, scientists-professors, publicists.
