On November 29, 2024, in the Hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after N. Dauletova, an international scientific and theoretical conference was held on the topic «Erkindik turaly ertegiler», dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the famous writer of China, ex-deputy of the people's political advisory council of the people's Republic of China, writer, translator Akbar Mazhit.

The conference was conducted by a well-known literary scientist, Professor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Kanseit Abdezovich.

Kanseit Abdezovich noted that Akbar Mazhit is the only Kazakh writer who writes in Chinese, and also noted that he worked as deputy director of the publishing group «Chinese writers» in the capital of China, editor-in-chief of literary magazines such as «Chinese writers», «literature of Nations».

A well-known writer, Chairman of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan Mereke Kulkenov, spoke the first word.

The congratulatory letter of the Minister of Culture and information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva was read by the director of the national state Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan Adil Koytanov.

During the conference, poets, writers, literary scholars focused on the work and socio-political activities of Akbar Mazhit.

Within the framework of the event, a book exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Akbar Mazhit from the funds of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized.

During the conference, it was discussed how the works of the famous writer, who holds responsible positions in television, film, publishing, promotes the mysterious connection and relationship between nature and man, affect the worldview of the younger generation.

The conference was attended by domestic and foreign scientists, writers, civil servants, representatives of Public Associations and the media representatives.
