On November 13, the Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Library Union, holder of the Order of «Kurmet» Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovina and head of the Fund Storage Service Bekturbekova Fatima Kuralbekovna met with librarians of Taraz at the Zhambyl Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Shokan Ualikhanov.

The meeting was held within the framework of the library convention «Kitaphana zhane onirdin madeni kenistigi», organized by the Department of Culture and Language Development of the Akimat of Zhambyl region together with the regional universal scientific library named after Shokan Ualikhanov.

Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospanova B.K. held a master class «Zamanaui kogamdagi kitaphana missiasy». She spoke about her professional activities, the further development of the industry, and noted the positive changes taking place in the country's library sector, including the approved holidays – «Librarian's Day» and «National Book Day».

Librarians raised the problems of the development of the library sector, asked many professional questions of concern to them, including the status of librarians, to which they received comprehensive answers from the speaker of the meeting. 

The master class was attended by employees of the Zhambyl Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Shokan Ualikhanov, the Dinmuhamed Konaev Regional Library for Children and Adolescents, the Regional Library for Blind and Visually Impaired Citizens and the Centralized Library System of Taraz.

At the end of the meeting, B. K. Ospanova awarded a number of librarians of the Zhambyl region with badges of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Kitaphana isinin uzdigi», «Kitaphana isinin ardageri», certificates of honor, as well as the badge of the Kazakhstan Library Union «Kazakstannyn Kurmetti kitaphanashysy».

An excursion «Kitaphana – bilim bulagynin kausar kozi» was held for the guests at the Shokan Ualikhanov regional universal scientific library with an introduction to the history of the library and the work of structural divisions.
