On November 14, 2024, within the framework of the library convention «Library and cultural space of the region», which is held in the Mels Uzbekov District House of culture in Kulan Village, T. Ryskulov District of Zhambyl region, the director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairman of the Kazakhstan Library Union Bakytzhamal Ospanova met with the directors of the district libraries of Zhambyl region, discussed the work of the Union, shared further plans and exchanged views in order to intensify the work of the Union.

In addition, T. Ryskulov visited the free presentation of the central communications service of the district on the theme «Turar-a common person for the Turkic people» memory watch and the final evening of local history readings «Tuyu biy, tugyry Berik – Zhambyl Eli», organized among the libraries of the region in honor of the 85th anniversary of Zhambyl region.

The work of the library convention continued with various breakout sessions:

1. Section 1: «Traditional and innovative methods of local history work in the library», moderated by Abdinova Elmira Eleusizovna, director of the Zhambyl regional universal scientific library named after Shokan Ualikhanov;
2. Section 2: «Local History activities of the children's library: the basis of development and current trends», moderator: Gulfayruz Kaparovna Inkarbekova, director of the Regional Children's and youth library named after D. Kunaev;
3. Section 3: «Promotion of local literature in the process of working for readers with disabilities», moderator: Zhanna Turarovna Alshynbaeva, director of the Regional Library of blind and visually impaired citizens.

During the event, T. Ryskulov presented books to the fund of the National Library of the central communications service of the district.
