On September 6, 2024, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the Republican scientific and practical conference «Kitap zhane kalamger», dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan and the 100th anniversary of the birth of the people's writer of Kazakhstan Abdyzhamil Nurpeisov, in accordance with the action plan within the framework of the days of culture and art of the Kyzylorda region, held in Almaty with the support of the Akim of the Kyzylorda region.

The purpose of the conference is to promote the achievements of the Union, which is the home of spirituality and culture of the nation.

The conference was opened by the head of the Department of culture, archives and documentation of Kyzylorda region Mira Kazbekova, chairman of the Writers ' Union of Kazakhstan Mereke Abdeshovich Kulkenov; deputy head of the Department of culture of Almaty Arman Beisenbayevich Halbekov; director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna Ospanova.

Within the framework of the event, the representative of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan in Kyzylorda region Yesseitova Karshiga Kurmashovna made a speech on the topic «the origin of Kazakh literature in the country of Syr».
