On May 16, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan B.K. Ospanova took part in the plenary session and made a welcoming speech at the XVII International Conference «Сentral Asia – 2024: Internet and information and library resources in science, education, culture and business» (Uzbekistan, Jizzakh).

Welcoming remarks were also made by: V. Gigin, Director General of the National Library of Belarus, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus; A. G. Chulyan, Director of the National Library of Armenia, Vice-President of the Library Assembly of Eurasia; V. V. Duda, Director General of the Russian State Library, President of the Library Assembly of Eurasia, Vice-President of the Russian Library Association.

The conference heard key reports on the following topics: «Priorities for the development of the country's library system» (Russia); «Services for visitors of the National Library of Armenia with special educational needs: World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) – National Library of Armenia: Cooperation» (Armenia); «New development strategies of the Belarusian Library Association in the context of changes» (Belarus); «Information Technologies and implemented artificial intelligence programs in the National Library of Turkey» (Turkey); «Prospects for the creation and development of private and mahalla libraries in Uzbekistan» (Uzbekistan).
