On June 6, the literary evening «The Creative Legacy of A.S. Pushkin in Literary Kazakhstan» was held in the Hall of World Literature, dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great poet, the founder of the modern Russian literary language.
Deputy Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yusupova Azhar Khamitovna made a welcoming speech.
The moderator of the literary evening was the head of the Department of International Relations and World Literature of the M. O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, member of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Ananyeva Svetlana Viktorovna.
In her speech, she spoke about the contribution of Kazakhstani researchers to the world of Pushkin, as well as about the international scientific conferences devoted to the work of A.S.Pushkin.
A video review of the book exhibition «The Creative Legacy of A.S. Pushkin in literary Kazakhstan», prepared by the head of the World Literature Service group Ashirova Farida Gaidarovna, was presented to the participants of the event.
The evening featured poems by A.S.Pushkin in Kazakh, Russian, English and Turkish.
The event was attended and performed by: representative of the «Center for Active Longevity» of the Bostandyk district of Almaty Sadybekova Bibizhamal Aripbayevna; 3rd year students of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan Zhapsarbai Nursultan and Kaumenova Aynur; 2nd year students of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University Kubait Aruzhan and Akbarzhanova Zubaydam; specialist of the World Literature Service Kamalbekova Nurzhanat.
Specialists of the World Literature Service Baismakova Aigerim and Alkambai Ayaulym presented an intellectual quest quiz based on the works of A.S. Pushkin.
Letters of thanks and books were presented to the winners of the quest quiz and active participants.
