On May 29, 2024, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted an award ceremony dedicated to May 21 – the day of Culture and art workers.

The award was presented by Rustam Ali, chairman of the Committee for Archives, documentation and book affairs of the Ministry of Culture and information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The badge «Enbek ardageri» of the Ministry of Culture and information of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded to the director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospanova Bakhytzhamal Kairbekovna and deputy director of the Republican library for Blind and visually impaired citizens Zhumabekov Makhsut Tainovich.

Employees of the national state Book Chamber: Saule Zhandosovna Ongarbekova and Patima Zhailaubayevna Sadvakasova, an employee of the publishing house «Almaty – Bolashak» Isagalym Usembayevich Akbasov were awarded the badge of the Ministry of Culture and information of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Madeniyet salasyn uzdigi».

Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospanova Bakhytzhamal Kairbekovna, director of the national state Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan Koitanov Adil spoke at the event and congratulated the winners.

In addition, the head of the Department of book affairs of the Committee for archival, documentation and book affairs of the Ministry of Culture and information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Myrzakhmetov Almaz Amirbekovich spoke about the upcoming projects on book, archive and publishing in the country, the issue of copyright and strengthening ties between publishers and writers, as well as the approval of the National Book Day and its importance.
