On May 30, 2024, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the presentation of the book «Kokzhal» by the Kyrgyz National writer, winner of the Toktogul State Prize, Secretary General of the International Organization TURKSOY Sultan Raev.

The moderator of the event is the Laureate of the Prize of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the editor–in-chief of the Almaty branch of «Kazakh Radio» Bakhyt Zhagiparuly.

The event was attended by: Chairman of the Union of Writers of Turkic Peoples Ulugbek Esdaulet; First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Kuantayuly; Deputy Head of the Department of Culture of Almaty Khalbekov Arman Beisenbayuly; People's Writer of Kazakhstan, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, playwright Dulat Isabekov; writer, screenwriter, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the literary award «Turkic World» Yelubai Smagul Abatuly; Director of the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, Ph.D., Professor Matyzhanov Kenzhehan Slyamzhanuly; writer, Laureate of the International Literary Award «Alash»  Kuandyk Tumenbai; People's Writer of Kazakhstan Akhmetzhan Ashiri; Vice-president of the publishing house «Atamura»  Kul-Mohammed Rakhima Abrarovna; poet, translator Dauletbek Baitursynuly; Winner of the youth prize «Serper», poet Sayat Kamshyger and other intellectuals made a speech and expressed warm feedback on the close cooperation the interaction of the Kyrgyz and Kazakh literatures of fraternal countries.

The stories in the book «Kokzhal» reflect the holistic panorama of our era, thanks to the author's identity, deep worldview, and clear vision. The author also revealed the diversity of the behavior and souls of his contemporaries, skillfully described their psychological and spiritual sides. The book is distinguished by its subtle lyricism, philosophical style of internal drama, easy-to-read language, and pleasant humor.

The presentation ceremony of the book «Kokzhal»  was held, 5 copies of the book were donated to the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the event, the People's Writer of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Raev expressed gratitude to the Kazakh translators who translated his works into Kazakh, the staff of the «Atamura»  publishing house, the staff of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who organized the event.

In addition, a book exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Sultan Raev was organized from the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
