On May 29, 2024, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a presentation of the Turkish translation of the book «Olgender kaytyp kelmeidi», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the classic of Kazakh literature, writer Berdibek Sokpakbayev.

The moderator of the event is the laureate of the Prize of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the editor–in-chief of the Almaty branch of «Kazakh Radio» Bakhyt Zhagiparuly.

Chairman of the Committee of Archives, Documentation and Book Business of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rustam Ali; Secretary General of the International Turkic Cultural Organization TURKSOY Sultan Raev, Head of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Almaty region Aliyev Daniyar Abzaledinovich, Consul General of the Turkish Republic in Almaty Evren Muderrisoglu delivered a congratulatory speech.    The participants focused on the events held within the framework of the anniversary of the writer Berdibek Sokpakbayev.

A presentation of the Turkish translation of the book «Olgender kaytyp kelmeidi»  was presented, 5 copies of this book were transferred to the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The guests who spoke: First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Kuantayuly; Turkish translator Hussein Varol; writer, screenwriter, professor of the T. Zhurgenov Academy of Arts, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the literary prize "Turkic World" Yelubai Smagul Abatuly; daughter of Berdibek Sokpakbayeva Samal Berdibekovna; poet, journalist, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Turkic Peoples Ulugbek Esdaulet.

Within the framework of the event, a book exhibition dedicated to the work of Berdibek Sokpakbayev from the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized.

Participants: poets, writers, government and public figures, the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, librarians, readers and media representatives.
