A literary kaleidoscope «What books do we read?"» was held in the hall of the Literary Academy of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to June 1 – International Children's Day.
The purpose of the event is the formation of a reading culture among the younger generation, the promotion of books, the attraction to literature, as well as the development of children's thirst for knowledge.
Within the framework of the event, a book exhibition for children was organized, where Kazakh folk tales, works by Kazakhstani children's writers, books by foreign writers translated into Kazakh and many other works are presented.
The participants of the literary kaleidoscope shared their opinions about the books they had read and loved, expressed their opinions about the role of books and reading in everyone's life.
The event was moderated by the poet, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, head of the association «Zhas Kalam» at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center «Adebiet Alemi», director of the public foundation «Tulga-dostyk» Muratkan Shokan.
The event was attended by: Deputy director of the Almaty State College of Energy and Electronic Technologies Turarbek Sharipov; akyn Ulan Adil; members of the literary center «Kaganat»; young poets – Almakhan Aksankar, Madiyar Mukash, Mynzhasar Atshybai, Magzhan Zhumagul, as well as the president of the Public Foundation «Qyr balasy» Zhanbolat Abaykhan; young scientist Karakat Sagynysh; students Gymnasium №86 named after G.Musrepov.
At the end of the event, the most active readers were presented with books.
