In the reading room "Kazakhstan kіptaptary" organized a book exhibition "Yer - elinin korgany" dedicated to May 7 - Defender of the Fatherland Day.

On May 7, the people of Kazakhstan experience patriotic enthusiasm and pride in their country. This is Defender of the Fatherland Day, which has been celebrated in Kazakhstan since 2012.

Independence and peace are the key to the development and progress of a state. The army ensures the observance of these two most important factors of existence. Today, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan are distinguished by a high level of intensity of combat training, a quality mobilization reserve, a network of national military educational institutions, and the necessary material and technical support. The country has adopted the concept of military reform and the state program of military construction, which reflect the military doctrine and topical issues of reforming the army.

Service in the Armed Forces has become an honorable duty of every citizen of Kazakhstan, a powerful moral school of patriotism based on the heroic and combat traditions of the older generations.

Traditionally in Kazakhstan, on Defender of the Fatherland Day, especially distinguished servicemen are awarded regular military ranks and awards. Many ceremonial and festive events take place throughout the country.

The book exhibition "Yer - elinin korghany" from the fund of the National Library of the RK presents materials on military science, general military regulations of the Armed Forces, basics of military legislation, collections of materials of interuniversity scientific and practical conferences, and reference books for those interested in military and historical and patriotic subjects.
