On June 18, 2019, the literary evening "Spiritual development of youth and education through the prism of stories", dedicated to the life and works of the outstanding writer and scholar, the classic of Kazakh literature, the founder of abaeology, writer Mukhtar Auezov, was held in the hall named after N. Dauletova, which was organized by the "Zhas Otan" Youth Wing of the "Nur Otan" Party.

Mukhtar Omarkhanovich Auezov was born on September 28, 1897 in Borili village of Abay district of East Kazakhstan region. In 1908 he learned to write in Kamaliddin Hazret madrasah in Semipalatinsk and in 1910 was accepted to study in 5-class Russian school of Semipalatinsk. His first work is "Dauyl".  In 1915 he graduated from the school and was accepted to the Semipalatinsk city teachers' seminary. In 1917 he wrote a play "Enlik-Kebek" based on the dastan "Merciless punishment" by Sh.Kudaiberdiuly which was first shown at the stage of Oikudyk in 1917.  Together with J. Aimauytov participated in the publication of popular science magazine "Abay" in Semey. In 1936 he participated in the decade of Kazakh literature and art in Moscow. In 1940 M.Auezov made a feature film "Raikhan" by the script. In 1941 the publication of the novel "Abai" became a milestone event in the cultural life of Kazakhstan. In 1954 he completely finished the novel-epic "Abai's Way".

The major part of M. Auezov's heritage consists of his scientific researches. He researched and systematized Kazakh oral literature, wrote fundamental works on the history of Kazakh literature, life and works of Abay, theoretical and problematic issues of literary studies and folklore. The great Kazakh writer, public figure, outstanding scientist, academician of the Academy of sciences of Kazakhstan, doctor of philological sciences, professor, honored scientist of the Kazakh SSR. M. Auezov died in Moscow in 1961.

The event included a book exhibition from the golden fund of the National Library, dedicated to the life and work of Mukhtar Auezov.

The event was attended by well-known public figures, intellectuals, poets, writers and the media.
